I will be leaving on February 17 for a month of ministry in Estonia. Once again, I will be teaching in a Bible School there and ministering in a local church as well. In early April, Stephanie and I will be ministering in Ukraine for some 3 weeks. We have been in discussions with the overseer of a Bible School in Nicaragua and are making plans for a June visit there. This ministry will also include church ministry and a 3 day crusade is being planned. Then in October, we will return to Ethiopia again for 4 weeks of ministry there.

It has pleased Almighty God to prolong our national life another year, defending us with His guardian care against unfriendly designs from abroad, and vouchsafing to us in His mercy many and signal victories over the enemy, who is of our own household. It has also pleased our Heavenly Father to favor as well our citizens in their homes as our soldiers in their campus, and our sailors on the rivers and seas, with unusual health.

He has largely augmented our free population by emancipation and immigration, while He has opened to us new sources of wealth, and has crowned the labor of our working-men in every department of industry with abundant rewards. Moreover, He has been pleased to animate and inspire our minds and hearts with fortitude, courage, and resolution sufficient for the greatb trial of civil war which we have been brought by our adherence as a nation to the cause of freedom and humanity, and to afford to us reasonable hopes of an ultimate and happy deliverance from all our dangers and afflictions.

"Obedience – The Way of God’s Blessing”

Deuteronomy 28:1-2 “And it shall come to pass, if you will hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command you this day, that the Lord thy God will set you on high above all the nations of the earth : and all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you..”

God never intended His people to fail. If believers are consistently failing and coming up short, you can be sure that there is a high likelihood that disobedience in some form is involved. A failure to obey the Word of God is a recipe for trouble in a believer’s life. God’s desire has always been to fellowship with His children, for us to enjoy a rich, satisfying and intimate fellowship and relationship with the Father of glory. But too often, He is hindered because of our disobedient ways.

Isaiah 43:18-19 "Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."

This has to be one of the most promising scriptures in all the Word of God. It has to do with beginning again. Starting over. Putting the past behind us. Refusing to dwell on all the things that went wrong. Choosing not to think on all the disappointments and things that caused discouragement and feelings of hopelessness. These verses hold out so much hope for us, because the truth is, we all need to start over again at times in our lives. We’ve all experienced things we’d like to forget. Things we wish hadn’t happened. Angry words with people closest to us that caused hurt and pain to them and to us. How many of us, if we had the opportunity to do so, would go back, re-visit that incident, and call back words that were spoken, and nullify acts that were carried out that separated us from people we love. How wonderful it would be if we could “erase” mistakes that were made, sins that were committed, all the wrong choices we carried out.

“The God Of Increase” (cont.)

In this month’s e-newsletter we are continuing with a theme we began some months ago on “The God Of Increase.” We used as a text for this series scriptures found in Psalm 115.

Psalm 115:12-14, “The Lord has been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron. He will bless them that fear the Lord, both small and great. The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children.”

God is a God of increase. Increase is part of His being, His nature. In every realm of our lives, God wants us to experience more of Him. In our walk with Him, in our knowledge and understanding of Him. He wants us to experience more of His presence and anointing. His desire is that we grow and develop in the fruit of the Spirit.
